About Tuscany Villas

One of the most sought after gated communities in Northeast Mesa is Tuscany Villas at Painted Mountain. Just under three hundred total units ranging from 1200 square feet for the smallest to about 3000 square feet for the larger ones. Blandford Homes bought the undeveloped lots from the original builder during the real estate downturn in 2008. Blandford built three popular models ranging in size from 1200 to 1800 square feet. The homes were an immediate hit and sold very well while the rest of the market was faltering. The layout of the community is the former location of the Painted Mountain Executive 9 hole golf course and the front portion that runs parallel with McKellips was the former driving range. The lock and leave convenience and carefree maintenance of the homes are very popular. The HOA takes responsibility for the exterior maintenance of the homes and provide the landscaping service for the front yards of all homes. There are many fulltime residents that provide caretaker services during the offseason months. Turnkey. Start enjoying what the desert has to offer as soon as you get here!

The homes comfortably intertwine through the 18 hole Painted Mountain golf course with many having a front row view lining the golf course. The conveniently located Resident’s clubhouse offer amenities including theatre room, workout facility, pickle ball court, pool table, ping pong, a full commercial kitchen for residents use, nice sitting areas to relax and of course the heated pool and spa shaded by tall lumbering palm trees. A well kept secret is the location of a second spa by taking the first left through the gate. Park near the cluster mailboxes and walk towards McKellips Road to the spa on the right. The clubhouse is the meeting spot for various book clubs, corvette clubs, breakfast meetings and resident musical bands. As residents walk through the community they will be interrupted by many impromptu meetings of other neighbors and friends. The community is a great place to be social and take part of the many activities both planned and spontaneous or if you want to have time and space for being alone for quiet reflection there are many quiet areas to relax. Having the Painted Mountain Golf Course part of the community residents can easily walk or take their golf cart to the number one tee box, deck lounge or restaurant. Access to shopping including Fry’s grocery store, Kohl’s department store, a local favorite breakfast and lunch spot “The Cozy Corner” are all with walking distance. Head north approximately 12 miles on Power road and wind through Bulldog canyon to the Tonto National Forest to Saguaro Lake. The Tonto National Forest starts its three million acres of National Forest that winds through several states just a twenty minute drive from Tuscany Villas. Saguaro Lake is an approximate thousand acre lake that winds nine miles through the rock canyons and desert landscapes. Longhorn sheep, Bald Eagles and many other varieties of wildlife are plentiful on the shores of the lake. Boating, water skiing, canoeing and paddle boarding are enjoyed daily on the lake. After a fun day on the water stop and have something to eat or a cold beverage at the Marina Restaurant. Good food, drink and fabulous views.

Tuscany Villas is very popular destination for our winter visitors from Canada and many Mid-Western states. The pilgrimage from the North starts with the first winter storms that move through central Canada or across the Mid -Western plains. Escaping the cold weather to arrive here at their desert playground. Starting in late October through April the community is buzzing with activity.

Once in the desert the social activities for the residents of Tuscany Villas are in full swing. Men and Ladies leagues at Painted Mountain Golf course are very popular and so convenient. Golf is a lot of fun, but the social interaction is the main attraction. The course is in great shape and the entertainment after the round including Karaoke several nights a week cap off a fun round on the links. Sitting on the open deck and enjoying a cold beverage at Painted Mountain Golf Course is a must after a long round of golf in the winter sun or just stopping by on the way home from one of the many events like the Barret Jackson Classic Automobile Auction or the Waste Management Golf Tourament.
